Entering a cup
How to enter a cup, what the game checks before entry, when the fee is paid and how to withdraw.
Entering is one button. But a cup does not wait for your players to recover, so get the squad ready before you press "Enter".
How to enter
- Open "Cups". At the top you see your rank, rating and the current cycle.
- In the list of your rank's cups, find the card with the status "Entries open".
- Press "Enter". If the cup is paid, the fee is written right on the button.
After you enter, the club appears among the cup's participants. The cup page shows the entries, the bracket and the prize table.
What the game checks
Before entering, open Tactics: is everyone in the line-up healthy, is fitness fine, are players in their positions? After the cup starts you can still change the line-up between matches, but there is little time to recover between rounds.
Entry fees
- Rank I–III cups are free.
- In higher ranks a cup can be paid. The fee is shown on the cup card and on the entry button.
- The fee is charged the moment you enter and shows up in the Finance log as "Cup entry fee".
- If you withdraw before the start or the entry round is cancelled, the fee is refunded in full.
- In some paid cups the fees go into a pot that the winner takes — then the cup page shows the pot amount.
Withdrawing
Until the cup starts you can withdraw with the "Withdraw" button on the cup page. After the start you cannot: the club plays until it is knocked out or wins the cup.
When the cup starts
A cup starts as soon as the bracket is full: the game makes the draw and the first matches kick off within a few minutes. If there are not enough players' clubs to fill the bracket, bots take the free places later — see Bots in cups.
Cup matches are played without you — you do not have to watch the broadcast. But if the club cannot field a line-up when a match starts, it is given a technical defeat.
